What is a Microschool?
A microschool is the “reimagining of the one-room schoolhouse.” It can be described as the “midpoint” between traditional schooling and homeschooling or considered “outsourced homeschooling.”

Admission
The Learning Studio's Microschool is starting in August 2024 and we are now accepting applications.
Priority admission is given to students with dyslexia or other specific learning disabilities, as well as those facing other types of learning challenges that have prevented them from thriving in a traditional school setting. However, all students - including gifted learners - are welcome to apply.

The Literacy Lady’s microschool program is led by Carva King, founder of The Literacy Lady, LLC and owner/director of The Literacy Lady’s Learning Studio in Diamondhead, MS. Carva has over 20 years of educational experience and is a licensed dyslexia therapist and adolescent reading specialist, with expertise in incorporating literacy skills into all content areas.
