Microschool for 6th-8th Graders

Learning Studio Microschool Classroom

What is a Microschool?

A microschool is the “reimagining of the one-room schoolhouse.” It can be described as the “midpoint” between traditional schooling and homeschooling or considered “outsourced homeschooling.”

Why should you choose The Learning Studio’s microschool for your middle school student?

  • Positive, Christian environment

  • Hybrid homeschool program with two days a week at The Literacy Lady’s Learning Studio in Diamondhead and two days a week of guided “at home” learning

  • Interactive, hands-on learning

  • Teacher-created curriculum

  • Differentiated, individualized instruction designed to meet each student’s specific needs

  • Built-in reading intervention for students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities

  • Easy-to-follow lessons with a reasonable time commitment for “at home” learning days

Admission

The Learning Studio's Microschool is starting in August 2024 and we are now accepting applications.

Priority admission is given to students with dyslexia or other specific learning disabilities, as well as those facing other types of learning challenges that have prevented them from thriving in a traditional school setting. However, all students - including gifted learners - are welcome to apply.
